The Bridgehampton-Ross Killer Bees baseball team defeated Port Jefferson 4-2 to win the Suffolk County Section XI C/D Championship!  The Bees are also the Suffolk County Class D champs. Having been defeated by Port Jeff in a three-game series earlier in the season, the Bridgehampton-Ross Killer Bees' coach, Lou Liberatore, saw the victory as a true testament to the team's growth.

Shortly prior to their championship win, at the May 15 Suffolk County Baseball Coaches Association meeting, Ross junior Milo T. (‘24) was voted the Suffolk League 10 MVP.  He batted .583 with 35 hits, 10 extra-base hits, 3 homers, and an OBP of .683 while drawing 20 walks and stealing 16 bases. Each coach also spoke to  Milo 's character and ability to lead the Killer Bee squad. He has become the first league MVP from Bridgehampton/Ross in the program's history and will be a finalist for the Yastrzemski Award, which honors the top player in Suffolk County.

“Milo is a great ballplayer but an even better kid and would be a great representative of our league as the most valuable player,” coach Lou Liberatore said. "Congratulations to Milo on an incredible accomplishment!"
