Ross Alumn and Shinnecock Tribal Citizen Christina Douglas Wins Emmy
Christina Douglas graduated from Ross in 2003 after co-directing a documentary about undocumented laborers on the east end of Long Island for her senior project. She and her co-director, Marshall Moran, received the Anders Holst Award for their work on their senior project. After Ross, Douglas graduated from Dartmouth and went on to serve as a development executive at Discovery for nearly a decade.
In 2016, Douglas left Discovery to launch her own production company, Momentum Content. Douglas recently won a pair of Daytime Emmys she created for Tiny Creatures in the categories of outstanding travel, adventure and nature program, and outstanding cinematography.
Tiny Creatures is a dramatic eight-episode nature docuseries that follows animals embarking on adventures across the United States. Each episode takes place in a different state and tells the story of a tiny animal outsmarting its predators.
