Students who participated in the Field Academy trip "Hawaii: Service, Sustainability, & Surf" learned all about marine conservation and ecology, sustainable food production, indigenous community preservation, and volunteered with youth-related athletic and sport services.
Additional activities included snorkeling, volcano exploration, waterfall hikes, surfing, kayaking, cooking classes, yoga, and sports. This trip also had a strong focus on mindfulness activities and developing meaningful relationships with the local community members.
