Students who participated in the Field Academy course Eco and Cultural Preservation in theYucatán began their trip with a tour of the ancient Mayan city of Coba.
Along the way, an expert tour guide unraveled the mysteries of the ancient Maya, discussing their engineering, architecture, and societal structures.
Students continued on to Valladolid for a tour of the first capital city of the Yucatán. Other highlights include a visit to Chichen Itza, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, including the stepped pyramid known as El Castillo or the Temple of Kukulkan—among many other stunning sites.
