Ross Tennis Team Takes Small School County Championship

Ross School is thrilled to announce the resounding success of the Ross School Tennis Team in the recent finals of the Small School County Championship. Ross' outstanding performance resulted in a remarkable victory over BayPort, the number 1 seed, with Ross triumphing in five matches while only conceding two. Ross was runner-up four times prior and now has an opportunity to compete in the Long Island Championship against Nassau County champions.

The exceptional skills and dedication of the Ross School Tennis Team players were on full display during the intense competition. Teddy Brodlieb exhibited remarkable prowess at number 2 singles, securing a decisive victory that contributed significantly to the team's success. Gabriel de la Maza displayed remarkable finesse and strategic prowess at number 3 singles, clinching a well-deserved win for the team. Max Karmely showcased his exceptional talent at number 4 singles, earning a pivotal victory that bolstered Ross School Tennis Team's position.

The doubles matches were equally spectacular, with Leonardo Carmo and Nick Sanches dominating at number 1 doubles, exhibiting remarkable teamwork and coordination. Their stellar performance secured another crucial point for Ross School Tennis Team. Alex Frolich and Simon Aser displayed exceptional synergy and skill at number 2 doubles, capturing a victory that further solidified the team's triumph. This remarkable achievement marks a significant milestone in the history of the Ross School Tennis Team, as it is the first time Ross' has claimed the Small School County Championship.

The victory is a testament to the unwavering commitment and tireless efforts of all the players, who consistently demonstrated their exceptional abilities throughout the season. The Ross School Tennis Team also defeated Port Jefferson in the Semifinals on Tuesday. "We are incredibly proud of our team's outstanding performance and their relentless dedication," said coach Vinicius Carmo. "Their hard work and passion have paid off, and we couldn't be happier with this momentous achievement," said coach Marcelo Reda. "This victory not only showcases the talent within our school but also exemplifies the values of sportsmanship and perseverance that we strive to instill in our players."
