This week in Grade 1, students studied inclined planes. They learned that an inclined plane is a straightforward machine consisting of a ramp used for heavier loads. First grades build their ramps experimenting with the slope and weight of their loads. Students also had a marble run race. They predicted into which cup(s) the marbles would roll.
