Core Values in Action: Grade Six Community Service
Grade six students had the opportunity this week to serve our community through an activity with Hazel Wodehouse, one of Ross School's Science Teachers.Ms. Wodehouse worked with the students while teaching them about the importance of eelgrass to our local waters. The students then helped by making the burlap pieces necessary for the grasses to be planted. Students will have an opportunity to plant the grasses another day. Students enjoyed the idea of helping our nearby oceans and bays by lending a hand by showcasing the Ross Core Values of Cooperation, Mindfulness, Respect, and ResponsibiliMs. Wodehouse worked with the students while teaching them about the importance of eelgrass to our local waters.
